Christopher Okpaleke awarded the 2013 Family Planning Research Scholarship

Sep 09, 2013 |

Congratulations to UBC MPH student Christopher Okpaleke who has been awarded the 2013 Family Planning Research Scholarship by the Contraception Access Research Team/Groupe de recherche sur l’accessibilité à la contraception (CART/GRAC) team.

Christopher is working with Dr. Wendy Norman and the CART/GRAC team on a project that surveys Canadian abortion providers and clinic directors to gather information on abortion practices and characterize abortion providers’ experiences with stigma and harassment. CART/GRAC is a new, collaborative national research network that will build on successful strategies in family planning practice and research across Canada. The long-term goal is improved health for women and their families through improved access to high quality family planning knowledge and services to reduce unintended pregnancies.

Congratulations Christopher!
