Dr. Patricia Janssen presents the Patricia Janssen Research Prize

Jul 04, 2013 |

On June 21, 2013, UBC’s Department of Family Practice held its Residents Research Day. The day culminated in an awards ceremony, and SPPH’s Dr. Patricia Janssen was on hand to present the inaugural Patricia Janssen Research Prize to midwifery student, Elizabeth Morrison, for her project “Motivations for Midwifery Practice: The experiences of midwives working with diverse populations.”

“I am very honoured to have an award bestowed in my name. The midwifery program trains practitioners to be experts in normal birth and I am proud to contribute to scholarship in this emerging field,” said Dr. Janssen. “I look forward to participating in exciting research and practice innovation with Faculty and students in the years to come.”

Congratulations to both Elizabeth and to Dr. Janssen.
