Tuition and Funding

How much does the MHSc program cost?

  • Application Fee: The application fees for domestic applicants is $112.00 CAD and for international applicants is $168.25 CAD. Please note that the application fee is non-refundable.
  • Tuition Fees: Tuition fees are payable in three installments per year, due in September, January, and May. A minimum of three installments must be paid in total. Students are responsible for tuition fees as long as they remain enrolled in the program. Domestic student tuition fees are approximately $1,767.18 CAD per installment and International student tuition fees are approximately $7,779.18 CAD per installment. On average, tuition fees increase between 2-5% each year. For more information, please see here.
  • Student Fees: Students can expect to pay about $1,250.00 per year for mandatory student fees. You can find out more about student fees here and here.

Financial Resources

There is limited funding available for MHSc students. Please note that International MHSc students are not eligible for the International Tuition Award. Students who are paying full time fees are eligible to apply for student loans.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies is responsible for merit-based graduate awards. Visit its website for detailed information. Graduate students who have questions about need-based funding should visit the Student Financial Assistance and Awards website. MHSc students can apply for teaching assistant or research assistant positions.
