¹All costs quoted in Canadian funds and current as of the 2026 academic year. Fees, including tuition based on year of entry, are approved by the Board of Governors following consultation with students and are subject to change. Continuing fees are assessed after instalment 5.

²Not all students will be required to pay these fees, however some students may choose to complete a practicum in a clinical or health care setting or in an environment where the risk of injury is greater than the classroom. The fee amounts are subject to annual increases.

• All tuition fees are payable in three instalments per year, at the beginning of September, January and May. The tuition amount remains the same regardless of the number of course credits in which a student is registered during a given term.
• All UBC students are assessed student fees, which help support a range of services and resources available to students. Full-time graduate students can expect to pay approximately $1,203 per year in student fees (including the U-Pass), as well as $396 annually for the AMS/GSS Extended Health Plan. While most fees are mandatory, some include opt-out provisions, including for students completing portions of the MGH program online. Student fees are generally charged and payable annually, with the exception of the U-Pass, which is charged in three instalments due in September, January, and May.
• Upon accepting an offer of admission to the program, a $1,500 (non-refundable and non-transferable) acceptance deposit in Canadian currency is required. This deposit will be credited towards your tuition.

Financial Resources

Canadian students may be eligible for financial assistance through their provincial or territorial student aid program. British Columbia residents can apply through StudentAid BC, which assesses eligibility for both provincial and federal student loans and grants.

Students are encouraged to look into university awards and bursaries, employer sponsorship programs, and external scholarships offered by healthcare organizations and professional associations.

Please note that the Master of Global Health is a course-based professional program, not a research-based degree. Consequently, students may not be eligible for some research-focused graduate scholarships and funding programs.
