How to Apply

Please review the following steps to assist you in preparing for the requirements before you submit your application.

Students applying from Canada and the US or with International credentials must meet the requirements from the Faculty of Graduate Studies, along with additional program-specific requirements for the MHA.

All students must apply through the Faculty of Graduate Studies online application system. Instructions for submitting your application and preparing your documents are also outlined to help you prepare.

The online application opens on November 1, 2017 and students must apply according to the following deadlines:

*The online application system tracks all required documents that must be submitted by the deadlines stated above. In order to ensure all require documents are received, including test scores and references, it is strongly recommended that you begin your application well in-advance of the deadline.

The program only has a September intake. It is not possible to start the program at any other time of the year.

Paying your application fee

There is a non-refundable application fee of $100 for Canadians and $162 for international applicants and is payable only by credit card when applying online.

Along with your online application, submit the following supporting documents by the deadline. These include:

  • Applicants can submit scanned copies of their transcripts, letter of intent and CV electronically with the online application form. The document deadline refers to scanned copies for the evaluation of your application.
  • Applicants offered admission will be contacted with instructions to submit two sets of original paper copies of their transcripts. Instructions on submitting Canadian and International transcripts are outlined on the Grad Studies website.
  • GRE (or equivalent) test results, if required. Tests must have been taken within the last five years at the time of submission of your application.
  • TOEFL (or equivalent) test results, if required. Tests must have been taken within the last 24 months at the time of submission of your application.
  • Three letters of references. Referees are notified by email with instructions for submitting their letters online after the application has been submitted. In order for letters to be received by the deadline, please coordinate with your referees when preparing your application. References are due by the same deadline as your application and other documents.
