Dr. Wong completed an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics and a PhD in Statistics (2000), both from the University of British Columbia. Since then, he has maintained appointments as a faculty member in the UBC School of Population & Public Health, as the senior biostatistician at the CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network, and as a Scientist at the Centre for Health Evaluation & Outcome Sciences (CHEOS) within the Providence Healthcare Research Institute (PHCRI). His current interests include statistical education & practice, methods for causal inference, and adaptive clinical trial designs. Dr. Wong collaborates extensively on clinical and epidemiological research with investigators in many disciplines including HIV/AIDS, mental health, neurology, emergency medicine, critical care, orthopaedics, and rheumatology. At CHEOS, he oversees the provision of statistical services to PHCRI investigators. Dr. Wong serves as a Corresponding Editor for the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.
