Scholarships
- Recognize academic achievement and assist recipients with the cost of continuing their education
- Merit-based
- Recipients must be in the top 10% of their cohort or have an average of 75% or higher
- Suggested minimum: $2,500 per year, which could be supported by an endowment of $75,000
Bursaries
- Assist students with academic expenses
- Financial need is the primary consideration
- Suggested minimum: $2,500 per year, which could be supported by an endowment of $75,000
Fellowships
- Recognize academic excellence and/or research productivity
- Suggested minimum: $20,000 per year, which could be supported by an endowment of $600,000
Prizes
- Recognize academic excellence or achievement in a particular subject area
- May be granted to students only upon graduation
- Minimum value: $1,000 per year, which could be supported by an endowment of $30,000
Service Awards
- Recognize excellence in a range of academic or non-academic fields, such as community service, student leadership, volunteerism, and athletic or artistic performance
- Minimum value: $1,000 per year, which could be supported by an endowment of $30,000
