The School of Population and Public Health extends a heartfelt congratulations to our fall graduates on the completion of their degree from the University of British Columbia! We’re so proud of all they have accomplished and how much they have overcome to reach graduation day.
Today, the School is hosting a Fall Graduation Reception to honour our graduates, where peers, faculty, friends and family came together to celebrate their achievements.
This graduation season’s highlight include research students who have received Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) awards at both the master’s and doctoral levels, Muyi Iyamu as a recipient of the Post-doctoral Health System Impact Fellowship, Hallie Dau as a recipient of the Killam Graduate Teaching Award, and Hiro Ito as UBC’s second-place winner in the 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) competition.
We are also celebrating a milestone: our first graduate from the part-time PhD program, Norma Biln.

Once again, congratulations to the Class of 2024, and may your academic achievements pave the way for a future filled with success and impact in the realm of public health!
