Dr. Trevor Corneil is a public health and preventative medicine specialist, senior health care executive, and practising inner-city medicine physician with over 20 years experience in both clinical and administrative practice in British Columbia, Canada. He has worked with numerous health authorities, government agencies, universities, and non-profit organizations across Canada and internationally in various consultant, educational, and senior leadership positions.
Dr. Corneil received his Bachelor in Life Sciences and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He then undertook his residency training at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, completing fellowships in both family medicine and public health and preventative medicine, and a Master’s degree in public health and epidemiology. Dr. Corneil is a fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Family Practice of Canada.
Dr. Corneil’s research interests include public health practice, health policy, health equity, HIV/AIDS, harm reduction, and transgender health.
