We acknowledge that the UBC Vancouver campus is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam).
OEH division investigators have been studying surface contamination with antineoplastic drugs in healthcare settings for over ten years. Work includes sampling methods, analysis methods, sampling strategy guidance, and establishment of performance-based occupational limits.
The OEH lab has developed and validated a method for air sampling of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, etizolam, and bromazolam. Inhalable fraction aerosol is collected using an inert filter and analyzed by LC-MS/MS. For research or commercial inquiries, contact the lab.
