Mar 23, 2021 |

One of the School of Population and Public Health (SPPH)’s greatest assets is the people that support important research and facilitate the education of health leaders. In this series, we will be featuring some of our incredible staff so you can get to know them better and learn about their impressive backgrounds.

What attracted you to work for SPPH?

Being part of the Public Health community of BC attracted me to work at SPPH.

How would you describe your role? What is your favourite part? What is the most challenging part or something new you have had to learn?

My role as Senior Program Assistant for the Public Health & Preventive Medicine residency is a mix of handling administrative & operations tasks to keep the program up and running.

My favourite part at work is that I get to multi-task and learn new things. I’ve learnt a lot about the Health Authorities in BC, how they function and their operations in detail.

Who or what inspires you?

Being around positive people and learning from them inspires me to spread & share positive vibes both at work and at home.

What’s one thing on your bucket list?

I want to do sky-diving!

What do you like to do for fun?

I like to wander around in nature for hikes, explore new trails, and refresh myself in nature! I also like to dance, I keep myself actively engaged in dance workshops.

What was your own university experience like? Where did you go?

I was a very studious student during my university days, and was very determined and focused to excel in studies. I went to University of Delhi, India.
