Thank you to everyone who joined us on June 17th to make the 10th Anniversary of the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia a great success! With over 150 attendees, 24 speakers (including three alumni and two students), and 12 student and trainee posters, the event was a well-rounded snapshot of the outstanding work that has come out of our School.
We would like to express our appreciation to President Santa Ono and Dean of Medicine Dermot Kelleher for welcoming our guests to the event, and to Julio Frenk, President of the University of Miami and former Minister of Health of Mexico whom we were fortunate enough to have join us as our keynote speaker for the day.
A big thanks also to our amazing moderators, speakers, and alumni who highlighted some of the remarkable education and research that the School has accomplished over the past decade.
We also were delighted to have a selection of enthusiastic students display their research through poster presentations. This was a small but mighty sampling of the incredible work being done at our School.
We look forward to next 10 years and beyond!
