MHA students keep learning in new ways

Pivot to blended learning

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, the MHA program quickly transitioned to online learning. Our main priority continues to be the safety of our students, staff and faculty, while delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

Moving health care and leadership courses towards new formats and options

COVID-19 had disrupted traditional education models and changed how we teach. By keeping up with best practices in educational technology, instructional skills and use of online platforms, our model is continuously evolving to provide the best education possible. For our Winter and Summer course schedules, our courses will be offered as in-person, online or hyflex.

Creating connection and engagement

Ensuring MHA students continue to have meaningful engagement with their peers and faculty is a critical priority for us. We are working hard to optimize MHA students’ learning experience across all our delivery formats, with breakout groups, collaborative online tools and recorded lectures.

Innovation and transformation

There are positive changes and innovations happening now in healthcare and education. These may have taken years to achieve if not for the pandemic. Disruptive innovation is creating an evolution in how we deliver health education and transforming how health care professionals learn, teach and leverage technology. It is a challenging and exciting time to be a public health leader and learner.
