Career Paths

Upon graduation, students will be able to carry out clinical research in their area of specialization, as an independent researcher or a member of a research team. The MHSc degree makes graduates highly competitive for academic positions in health science centres and for research positions in industry.

Our graduates have gone on to work as clinical instructors, ‎data managers, neurologists, assistant professors, research coordinators, infectious diseases specialists, and more. Employers of our graduates include St. Paul’s Hospital, CIHR Canadian HIV Trials Network, Stanford University, BC Children’s Hospital, University of Ottawa, Northwest Hospital Group, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Health Science Centre Winnipeg, and University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, to name a few.
