Dr. Cheryl Young (she/her/hers) is a Public Health and Preventive Medicine resident at the University of British Columbia. She has a lifelong dedication to learning and developing expertise to make positive changes in population and public health, and she is committed to applying a health equity and social justice lens to all aspects of her professional and research endeavours. She has a particular interest in local public health practice and advocating for healthy public policy. She is also a licensed family physician trained in Vancouver, and holds a Master of Public Health from UBC. Prior to her residency training, Cheryl completed medical school at the University of Toronto, and holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences with an Honours Specialization in Global Health from McMaster University.
