SPPH Welcomes New Director of Administration

I am pleased to announce that Shermila Salgadoe has accepted the position of Director of Administration for the School of Population and Public Health.

The Director of Administration, in close collaboration with the School Director, is responsible for strategic oversight and management of all areas of administration for the School, including human resources, faculty affairs, financial planning and resources allocation, operations, strategic planning, project management, policy development, data and information systems, administration and operational communications, and academic committees.

Ms. Salgadoe brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Director of Administration position, including a Human Resources Management diploma and Chartered Professional in Human Resources certification.  Ms. Salgadoe will be joining SPPH from the Faculty of Education where she has been in administrative leadership roles for the last 15 years, including as Administrative Manager for the Department of Educational Studies (EDST) and as the interim Administrative Manager for the Department of Language and Literacy in Education (LLED). Ms. Salgadoe has a long work history with UBC that includes prior positions as an Administrative Assistant to the Associate VP, Government Relations, Administrative Assistant to the VP Academic and Provost, and Administrator for the Allard School of Law (on secondment).
