Innovation and Transformation

Most MGH core courses are delivered in a hybrid, multi-access, flipped classroom format that maximizes accessibility and global engagement.

Flipped classroom

An innovative pedagogical approach that prioritizes synchronous class time for interactive, higher-order thinking activities while didactic content is presented in an asynchronous fashion before each class, allowing you to familiarize yourselves with the material at your own pace. Synchronous sessions for core courses take place on two consecutive weekdays every three weeks (on average) to minimize the impact on learners who are working.

Multi-access delivery

Attend either in-person or online for the synchronous sessions of most program core courses. This approach allows you to choose how to participate based on your needs, schedules, and learning preferences. Benefits include increased accessibility, enhanced engagement through diverse learning formats, and the ability to balance education with personal and professional commitments. By accommodating different learning styles, multi-access delivery fosters inclusivity and a more personalized educational experience.

Creating Connection and Engagement

Our priority is to ensure you have meaningful engagement with their peers and faculty. We are working hard to optimize your learning experience across all our delivery formats, with breakout groups, collaborative online tools and recorded lectures.

Work While You Study

Each term, synchronous sessions for different core courses are grouped together on two consecutive weekdays every three weeks (on average) to minimize the impact on learners who are working. Students will be given a schedule at the beginning of each term so they can arrange time away from work with their employers.
