Dr. Kevin Donak (he/him) is a third-year re-entry resident in the Public Health and Preventative Medicine Program at UBC. He previously completed his undergraduate medical education (MD) and family medicine residency at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at UBC and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of Ottawa.

Kevin is a 14-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, where he worked as both a soldier and physician, always striving to provide compassionate and equitable care to patients. He has a strong interest in health leadership, health promotion, disease prevention, health equity, occupational and environmental health, as well as mental health and substance use. 

In his personal time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his partner Crystal and his two children Izzy and Evey. They love reading, spending time outdoors, going on family adventures, and playing board games. He also has a passion for health and fitness, having completed the Ironman triathlon twice, and dozens of other triathlons and endurance races.
